The theme for the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show is Fashion on the Fringe. KC Fringe Festival 2009 will set up booths for designers to display their designs and fashions in the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show arena. The fee for a booth for show participants will be $25.00. The fee for a booth for designers not participating in the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show will be $50.00. These fees cover costs incurred by the KC Fringe Festival 2009. An application for a booth and all accompanying fees are to be submitted no later than Monday, July 13, 2009.

Rehearsals for the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 with call times to be announced. Each designer and their models must be in attendance so that all technical issues can be resolved at that time. All music for your portion of the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show must be submitted to the Producer by Monday, July 6, 2009. The music must be on a compact disc (CD) in wav or mp3 format and clearly marked with the designers name and running time of the music. The KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show will be holding a Fringe Tickler Trunk Show to garner interest in the Fashion Show. Tentative dates are being worked on at this time.

By submitting this application for consideration, you agree to the following terms and conditions and agree to meet all of them by the designated deadline (if specified):
  • A Producer will be provided by the KC Fringe Festival 2009 for the production of the fashion show. You as the designer agree to work with this person to assure a successful production. Additionally, any concerns or issues are to be directly addressed to the Producer for resolution.
  • A completed application must be received by the KC Fringe Festival no later than May 22, 2009. All applications are to be mailed to the P.O. Box as directed in this application. If your application is not received by the deadline you will not be able to participate in the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show.
  • All technical issues will be addressed and completed by the Producer. All final decisions regarding technical issues (i.e. light design, sound system, decor etc.) will rest with the Producer.
  • Designers must submit a list of names, contact information, and role in your production for all show personnel to the Producer no later than Monday, July 6, 2009.
  • All participants of the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show must provide a Release of Liability to the Producer no later than Monday, July 6, 2009. If a Release of Liability for each participant, regardless of their role, is not returned to the KC Fringe Festival by this date, they will not be allowed to participate in the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show.
  • All participants under the age of 21 must produce a Release of Liability that is signed by a parent or guardian (this is required because alcoholic beverages will be served during the KC Fringe Festival). Anyone under the age of 21 who does not provide a Release of Liability signed by a parent or guardian by Monday, July 6, 2009 will not be allowed to participate in the KC Fringe Fashion Show 2009.
  • All participants agree by the submission of the Release of Liability that they will abide by the rules and procedures set in place by the Board of Directors of the KC Fringe Festival 2009, both those set forth in this application and the KC Fringe Festival polices and procedures posted on the KC Fringe Festival website. This agreement includes the understanding that NO ONE who is not in possession of a designated show pass will be allowed into the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show for free. All audience members will purchase an official KC Fringe Festival 2009 button for admittance into the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show. There will be no exceptions. Any participant caught giving their designated show pass to an unauthorized person will immediately be asked to leave the KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show arena and will not be allowed to participate in the show.
  • In accordance with the policies and procedures of the KC Fringe Festival, no alcohol or drugs are to be brought into any venue operated by the KC Fringe Festival. Any person violating this policy will immediately be removed from the premises and barred from returning.
  • The KC Fringe Festival 2009 Board of Directors and Staff Personnel reserve the right to ask anyone who is engaging in rude, offensive, or harassing behavior to leave the venue immediately.

The KC Fringe Festival 2009 Board of Director and Staff Personnel are very much looking forward to this year's KC Fringe Festival 2009 Fashion Show.
