Kansas City Fringe Festival - How To Fringe

How To Fringe

What is the KC FRINGE FESTIVAL?

A Celebration!
The KC Fringe Festival — now in its seventh year — is jam-packed with live theater, dance, performance art, visual art, spoken word, puppetry, storytelling, film and fashion. The 2011 festival, like its predecessors, is a celebration of local, regional and national artists, presenting events at venues throughout Kansas City. With the 2011 Festival almost here (July 21 -31) we grow from eight days to ten. For a quick summary of the festival, check out this comprehensive youtube video.

How to Fringe?

  1. BUY A BUTTON (One time purchase)
The Fringe Pass (example button shown below) provides access to hundreds of shows by 100+ artists from all over the country. With your $5.00 Fringe Button, you can purchase tickets to any Fringe show over all 10 days of the festival; including entrance to free events at Fringe Central and discounts from local businesses. Since all ticket revenue goes to the artisits/venues, the Fringe Festival relies on the button monies to help fund this event every year.
No Button = NO Show Entry (no exceptions)
If you purchase a button and ticket online, bring your printed receipts to the venue or Fringe 411 to receive your ticket and button.

  2. GET A TICKET (1 ticket per show, 1st come, 1st serve)
Whatever your style there's a show for you. Ticket prices vary per event. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. No Late Entry to shows (no exceptions). Tickets can be purchased online , at the venue, at Fringe Central, and the Fringe 411 Ticket Booth at Crown Center. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and good old cash. Oh, and sorry no refunds after the show begins.

  3. GET FRINGY!
Enjoy yourself. The purpose of Fringe is to have fun. Tell your friends, coworkers, and neighbors about your Fringe experience and bring them to your favorite show.

Why Fringe?

Fun!
The festival develops audiences, stimulates economic growth and supports the creative community at large. By making the arts readily visible, available and affordable, the festival supports and inspires local organizations year-round. The KC Fringe Festival is a service to the community, building bridges between audiences, artists, businesses and civic organizations.
