BCR (music) AA
BCR is a self-described "Afro-nuclear wave funk swing reggae Turska band." Led by the multi-reedist Rev. Dwight Frizzell, this group (the word "troupe" would also be fitting) proposes an endearing take on Sun Ra's cosmic jazz. Imagine, if you will, a band featuring African percussion, shakuhachi (a Japanese bamboo flute), Turkish lavta, harmonica, viola da gamba, a vintage Serge synthesizer and lap steel guitar, alongside reeds (saxes, clarinets and various traditional instruments) and rhythm section.

Kotos are a traditional Japanese 13-stringed instrument. Tachibana-ryu Kenshibu is a classic form of Japanese interpretive dancing.

Shimotsuibushi is a traditional Japanese interpretive dance. In addition, the Kurashiki Dance Group will perform a series of folk dances. The final dance performance is also Shimotsuibushi and is called “Tokohi.”

Kurashiki Absky (Ebisukai) is a traditional Japanese interpretive dance. Tachibanaryu Kenshibu Kurashiki are dances that often include the use of weapons and the Kurashiki Hula Circle is an ancient dance similar to those you might see in Hawaii.
